The residences offer exceptional convenience, being close to all University facilities. The region is located 3.5 hrs drive from the Australian Alpine Region and has a wide range of climates with four distinct seasons.

The opportunity to live in a vibrant, diverse community of over a thousand students from all over the world, is certainly a "once-in-a-life-time" experience.

Home to over 1,000 students, the residences, or "Ressies" as they are known, offer a unique lifestyle. The community provides the opportunity to live and work in a diverse and stimulating environment. The students in "Ressies" live in a truly multicultural community, and reap the rewards. In any one area, you may well find students from the outback living with students from our largest cities and with international students from huge cities or tiny remote villages. The possibilities that this meeting of minds and cultures generates are very exciting. The residences are one of the largest student accommodation facilities in Australia and are a vibrant part of the University of Canberra.

Australian year 12 students who are interested in ‘On Campus’ accommodation at the University of Canberra should indicate as such by ticking the "accommodation information" box on the UAC (University Admissions Centre) application form. Applicants can telephone the Residential Services Office direct on (02) 6206 3500 for an application form and information pack if they do not receive a pack automatically.

Applications open in September for students new to residences.
The closing date for 1st Semester applications is early December the previous year.
An application fee is payable on return of the application form.
Applicants are notified of an offer of a place in residences by mail from the end of January each year.
